Caffè Roen: an Italian success story
Caffè Roen stands for authentic Italian espresso, rooted in decades of tradition. The roastery brings together carefully selected beans and intense aromas that turn every espresso into a special moment.
In 1979, in the province of Verona, more precisely in Pacengo di Lazise on the southern tip of Lake Garda, Sergio Bendinelli laid the foundation for what is now a lasting success story. After years of experience in the coffee trade, he decided to found his own roastery and create coffee blends entirely on his own terms. That decision marked the first chapter of a story that continues to shape Caffè Roen today.

The strength of family
Even though Bendinelli started out with a simple roaster, his coffee quickly built a strong reputation. The quality of his blends and his personal passion convinced local cafés and restaurants, and the roastery eventually moved to larger premises in Affi, where it remains based today. The site now includes a spacious roasting room along with a training and tasting area, where internal and external courses and quality checks on imported green coffee take place regularly. As the company grew, so did the team, with Bendinelli's son Enrico driving the roastery's expansion into international markets.
No compromises on green coffee selection
Careful selection of green coffee is essential and determines the quality of the final product. Experience is the key factor. Over the many years Caffè Roen has been active, its roast masters have built the expertise needed to choose the right origin, variety, and processing method for every blend. Each new batch that arrives in Affi is closely inspected. Every delivery of green coffee goes through roasting and cupping tests to guarantee consistently high quality.

Traditional Italian roasting craft
Coffee is a natural product, and its behavior during roasting depends on origin, variety, harvest year, and processing. Every batch presents even the most experienced roast master with the challenge of finding the right roast profile to bring out its full aroma. Decades of experience with the traditional drum roaster make the difference here. Caffè Roen relies exclusively on slow, gentle roasting, a method you can taste in every sip of espresso.
