Bialetti

A Bialetti moka pot, also called a stovetop espresso maker, brews coffee using steam pressure. Water heats up in the lower chamber, and the resulting pressure pushes it up through the ground coffee in the funnel filter and into the top chamber. The result is a strong, aromatic coffee similar to espresso. For the best results with your Bialetti, roastmarket offers a wide selection of matching coffee varieties.

Espresso roasts that unfold their full aroma in a moka pot work best in a Bialetti. The grind should be slightly finer than for filter coffee but coarser than the fine espresso grind used for a portafilter machine. In the coffee for moka pots category, you will find varieties at roastmarket that are specifically matched to your Bialetti.

Clean your Bialetti moka pot with hot water after each use and rinse all the parts thoroughly. Let it dry completely before putting it back together. This removes coffee residue, protects the surfaces, and keeps your next cup tasting clean and true to its aroma.

Not every Bialetti moka pot works on induction. Classic aluminum models are not compatible with induction hobs, but Bialetti also offers stainless steel moka pots designed specifically for induction cooking. When buying at roastmarket, check the product description or choose a suitable adapter for your Bialetti.

Bialetti moka pots are sized by cup count, based on small espresso-style servings. For a single coffee drinker, a model with one to three cups works well, while households with several people usually prefer variants from four cups upward. Choose the size that matches your usual drinking habits so you can fill the chamber with the right amount of water and ground coffee.
