The origin story, from Ethiopia to Amsterdam
Bocca's story began in 2001, when founder Menno Simons came across a hillside of remarkable coffee trees in Ethiopia. The discovery inspired him to change the way people experience coffee, leading him to found a roastery built on quality, sustainability, and direct relationships with coffee farmers. That founding vision still shapes every cup today, whether the beans end up in espresso machines and fully automatic coffee machines, or find their way into a moka pot, filter coffee machine, or manual brewer at home.
