Passion for coffee since 1882
For more than four generations, the Vergnano family has independently run the traditional Piedmontese coffee roastery. Creativity, innovation and quality shape both the company's success and its distinctive coffee experience to this day. What began as a small general store has grown into an established company. Its remarkable creations delight coffee lovers around the world with a wide range of distinctive aromas, delivering genuine Italian espresso enjoyment.
Caffè Vergnano: A family tradition of more than 100 years
The brand's history began in 1882 in Chieri, a small town at the foot of the hills near Turin. Domenico Vergnano, grandfather of the current owner, founded the business as a small general store and laid the foundation for the family's true calling. Within a few years, the Vergnano family mastered the secrets of coffee roasting and sales. The company grew quickly, and the first three Italian shops opened in Turin, Alba and Chieri. The real leap forward came in the 1930s with a bold decision: the company acquired its own coffee plantation in Kenya.
